Since most vacations mean bringing the whole family, the Quarterdeck has made the choice easy by providing fun for every age!

Our playground set for the youngsters gives them hours of imaginative adventures in a safe environment. Plus, there’s a color-coated basketball court for individual or team fun and maybe even some friendly family competition!

There is nothing more exciting for kids than to reel in that first fish! Just off our docks, they will thrill to catch bluegills and sunfish just as quickly as they can cast out and bring them in.

We also have a room with Video Arcade Games, board games the whole family can play, a Ping-Pong table, comfortable sitting area with Cable TV, and more!

We all know as parents how kids like to explore! At the Quarterdeck, the opportunity is endless. For example, take a walk on one of the scenic nature trails that start from our resort, and wind through the adjacent Pillsbury State Forest, or up to the top of Mt. Ski Gull for a breathtaking view of the surrounding area and it’s sparkling lakes. Don’t forget to watch for deer and a variety of wildlife, including the beautiful birds. Including the Bald Eagle, Sandhill Crane, Blue Heron, and numerous colorful song birds, just to name a few.

Within a short driving radius, the Nisswa-Brainerd Lakes Area is thronged with recreational activities for all ages, including Go-Cart tracks, miniature golf courses, water-slides, bumper-boats, and miniature golf.

Hot days mean beach weather. Bring the swimsuits, and get ready for sandcastles on the beach, or a dip in the crystal clear water of the lake. Cruise the water on a provided paddle boat and just relax in the sun.
